Elliot Holzman received his law degree from the University of Calgary. During law school, he was student director at Student Legal Assistance, a pro bono legal clinic, before working in Calgary for a busy defence lawyer. He then clerked for justices of the BC Supreme Court and for Mr. Justice Russell Brown at the Supreme Court of Canada.
In his practice, Elliot represents clients charged with a broad range of criminal offences at the trial and appellate levels. He has appeared at all levels of courts, including repeatedly at the BC Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Alongside his other work, he acts as “ward lawyer” for Vancouver and Burnaby, representing youths in government care who are dealing with a criminal investigation or charge.
